The CDCN is guided by several teams of talented and diverse individuals.
Leadership Team
-
- Our leadership team is made up of a small group of staff and a large number of volunteers. Our team is led by CDCN Co-founder and Executive Director, Dr. David Fajgenbaum and Chief Operating Officer, Mary Zuccato. The team includes many other patient and science-focused individuals including medical students, PhD students, loved ones of patients, Castleman disease patients, and more.
Scientific Advisory Board
-
- The CDCN is advised by a Scientific Advisory Board made up of 30 physicians and researchers from 7 countries. This group connects quarterly to consult on and conduct Castleman disease research and help decide the best next steps for Castleman disease research in future.
Advisory Council
-
- The CDCN consults regularly with a six-member advisory council that helps direct the future of our non-profit.
Board of Directors
-
- Castleman’s Awareness & Research Effort (“CARE”) and the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (“CDCN”) joined forces in 2012. We are now led by a dedicated Board of Directors which includes many members from CARE’s original Board of Directors, founded in 2006.
