Katherine Haeusel, Board member, works at AstraZeneca as a Human Resources Business Partner, a role she loves for the way it’s centered on three of her keen interests: people, education, & science. Prior to her HR career in the pharmaceuticals industry, Katherine was an English & Language Arts teacher.
Katherine lost her father to Castleman Disease in 1997, when information about the disease was sparse and treatment guidelines nonexistent. Katherine became involved with the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network in 2019, after discovering David Fajgenbaum’s book Chasing My Cure. She is passionate about CDCN’s mission and proud to be part of an organization that provides both hope and evidence-based help for patients and their loved ones.
Katherine earned her M.S. in Human Resources Development from Villanova University, her M.A. in Teaching from The College of New Jersey, and her B.A. in English and French from Ursinus College.
