3/6/2015 Philadelphia, PA – The Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (CDCN) continued to take an innovative approach to advancing research and care for Castleman disease through advocacy-industry-academia partnerships and global physician engagement. On February 27-28, 2015, the CDCN co-hosted the first-ever International Castleman Disease Pathology Preceptorship at the University of Pennsylvania. The Preceptorship included the eight top hematopathologists from across Latin America and the faculty included Drs. The two-day gathering focused on:

- a review of diagnostic features found in Castleman disease, and
- case reviews from University of Pennsylvania, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the eight medical centers in Latin America represented by the attendees.
The event was yet another collaborative partnership forged between the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, and an academic medical center.
